Mary Ellen Smith, a local yoga instructor for many years, will be lead-ing us in Yin Yoga. Yoga begins EXACTLY where you are … and takes you where you want to be. It’s for beginners as well as experienced yoga practioners.
There will be no standing postures. Moves are slow and purposeful, bringing your body, breath, mind, and spirit together. In Mary Ellen’s words …”Yoga to me is a gift … we work with your body … not against it … use the acupressure points that are already there. We focus, breathe, stretch, and you won’t be the same person as when you first sat down!”
All you need is a yoga mat, stretchy clothes, and the desire to feel great and move more. It’s best not to eat right before the practice. A full belly is uncomfortable.
