    Barry Bernstein is a high school teacher in the Bronx who loses funding for the annual school musical that he directs. He enlists the aid of his fellow statistics teacher (Jonah) to help raise money in an underground gambling card game, Yaniv, run by the Hasidic community. However, unbeknownst to Bernstein, Jonah is a recovering gambling addict. Things do not go as planned, with surprising results. Comical but poignant. In English.

He meets her at a Baltic Sea beach, where she is working at a Jewish camp. He suffers from incurable tuberculosis, but they share an intimacy that he has never before experienced.
